I’m sorry this stuff took way longer than expected. Figuring out how to configure my workspace took a while (mostly figuring out how you can push to a GitHub organisation repo from your desktop, lol…). It’s still not 100% but it’s enough to finally fix these last longstanding issues!
Mutant Standard 2022.12 in build files
The build repo has now been updated with the Mutant Standard 2022.12 repertoire and manifests.
My whole tech setup is now properly put together, so there shouldn’t be this delay between normal and build repo releases again.
Orxporter 0.5.0
Orxporter got a long awaited update that fixes several really critical bugs. It also adds JPEG XL support!
It has several breaking changes from the previous version of Orxporter, so please check the release notes for more information.
Preview of Elm web emoji package
The entire Mutant Standard website was rewritten in Elm last year. As part of that, I created a module that is capable of parsing a JSON metadata file produced by Orxporter into native Elm data types and do all kinds of cool things with it, paving the way for text descriptions (used in the site) and all kinds of ways to use Mutant Standard seamlessly in a web application.
Now that I know how to push my code to the Mutant Standard repos, you can see the development going on there!
I will eventually publish this to the Elm package repository once it’s ready.
Repo naming changes
All main branches of all repos are now main
instead of master
. You may need to update your references in your local dev environments.
Forc is now archived
Following my intention to stop developing fonts, Forc is now officially archived. I’ve moved the license to GPLv3 to make it more accessible for folks to continue to work on if they wish, without some corpo just running away with the source code.
